Collection: AdBlue® fluid for diesel cars
What is AdBlue®?
AdBlue® is a colorless and non-toxic liquid that's a mix of water and urea. It works as part of a conversion process that turns nitrogen oxide emissions from a diesel engine into nitrogen and water. The particulate filter then reduces the vehicle's emissions even more by catching solid particles in the exhaust gas.
If you own a diesel vehicle, you might've noticed a small blue filler cap next to the fuel filler cap. That's a sign your vehicle has AdBlue® technology.
Many new diesel vehicles use diesel exhaust fluid, known as AdBlue®. The vehicle automatically injects this fluid into the exhaust system to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.
AdBlue® is stored in a separate tank that the driver needs to keep filled. You can find more info on AdBlue® below, plus in your vehicle's Owner's Manual, which also has details on how much AdBlue® fluid your vehicle needs and the refill intervals.
Does my vehicle use AdBlue® fluid?
AdBlue® fluid is only used to keep diesel emissions as clean as possible. Not all new diesel vehicles have an AdBlue® system, though. If there's a small blue filler cap next to the fuel one, then yeah, your vehicle needs AdBlue® fluid. Check your Owner's Manual for more details.
How does AdBlue® fluid work?
AdBlue® is automatically injected into the vehicle's exhaust system, where it converts nitrogen oxide emissions in the exhaust gas into nitrogen and water. The particulate filter then reduces the vehicle's emissions even more by catching solid particles in the exhaust gas.
Where can I buy AdBlue® fluid?
You can order AdBlue® fluid in different package sizes from the Carmore online store, which delivers your purchase right to your door anywhere in Europe if you want.
